In November 2024, to celebrate the release of the Nike Dunk Hi “Wu-Tang,”  TĀKOUT teamed up with Bronx-born legendary DJ SNS for an unforgettable mixtape drop and in-store activation that paid homage to hip-hop, hustle, and heritage.

With decades behind the decks and a legacy rooted in NYC sound, DJ SNS brought the energy only a true icon could deliver. The Wu-Tang Mixtape, curated exclusively for the moment, was a sonic time capsule bridging generations of beats, bars, and borough pride. This collaboration brought together sneaker culture and sound culture - two worlds that have always moved in step. The in-store activation turned our Fordham flagship into a live tribute to the Wu legacy: gritty, loud, and full of soul.

This project was a reminder of what TĀKOUT’s about - shining a light on the voices, stories, and sounds that shape the city. With DJ SNS behind the music and the Nike Dunk Hi “Wu-Tang” front and center,  TĀKOUT didn’t just celebrate a sneaker, we celebrated a cultural anthem.
