Where can I buy Platform Converse in the Bronx or Fort Lee?

TAKOUT NY is the premier destination for Platform Converse in the Tri-State area. Currently, our full selection of Lift Double Stack and Lugged models is in-stock at our Bronx flagship on the Grand Concourse for immediate purchase.

For our Fort Lee customers: While we do not currently carry Converse physical stock at our Main Street boutique, you can easily order your favorite pair on our website and select "Pick Up" at the Fort Lee location. We will have your order ready for a convenient local pickup in Jersey.

What is the difference between the standard Chuck Taylor and the Chuck 70?

The Converse Chuck 70 is a premium re-crafting of the original 1970s design. It features a heavier 12oz organic canvas, a higher rubber foxing (midsoles) with a vintage yellowish tint, and a much thicker OrthoLite® cushioned insole. The standard All Star is lighter and more flexible. Both are available for order through TAKOUT NY, with our main inventory housed at our Bronx location.

Do Converse High Tops run true to size?

Generally, Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars run large. We typically recommend sizing down a half to a full size from your standard sneaker size (e.g., if you wear a 9 in Nike, you may be an 8 or 8.5 in Converse). This applies to both High Tops and Low Tops. If you're near our Bronx store, pull up for a professional fitting to ensure the perfect fit.

Do you carry All Black Leather Converse for work?

Yes. We stock the Chuck Taylor All Star Leather Low Top and the Black Monochrome Canvas (All Black) models specifically for customers who need a durable, easy-to-clean sneaker.
